Angie Countess:  Office Manager

Angie began working for Cole Animal Hospital in 1976 as a receptionist, and started here at Bentley Animal Hospital in 1997.  Although originally she worked as a receptionist, she is now our Office Manager.   Angie loves growing flowers and designing floral arrangements.

Pat Pruett:  Kennel Manager

Pat has been in the business for over 20 years, and he has been with Bentley Animal Hospital since 2001, caring for our pets.  He is a Huntsville native and has been married to his wife Tracy since 2009.  He enjoys Punk Rock and wrestling while keeping a special place in heart for chihuahuas.

Betty McIllwain:  Assistant

Everyone knows Betty.  She has been with Bentley Animal Hospital for over 25 years now.  There's not a client (or animal)  that comes in here that she can't identify.  She works hard and takes excellent care of our patients.  No animal is too big or too small for Betty to hold.

Shirley Pickett:  Assistant

Shirley has been with Bentley Animal Hospital since 2001.  You can usually find Shirley keeping the doctors on track with their appointments or keeping things stocked up with all of our necessities.  From surgeries to treatments, appointments to boarders, she can do it all.

Jena Tidwell:  Assistant, Technician Team Leader

Jena comes to us from the Animal Emergency Clinic in Huntsville.  She is soft spoken and very intelligent.  As you would expect, she is cool under pressure.  Very caring towards our patients and the clients, she is a welcome addition to our team.

Delaney Richter:  Assistant

Originally from Michigan, Delaney moved to the Huntsville area in late 2007.  She has been working with Bentley Animal Hospital since 2015, having began her veterinary career as a receptionist in 2008.  She spends time in the Society for Creative Anachronism and plays flute with the Prevailing Winds Flute Ensemble.  Delaney shares her home with a precocious kitty named Toby and a teacup chihuahua named Tripper.

Bethany Waddell:  Assistant

Bethany has been working in veterinary medicine since 2014.  She moved to Huntsville in 2018 from Rainsville and joined our team shortly thereafter.  Bethany's favorite thing to do is to spend time with her family on her parent's farm, with her fiance Chris, and with her canine best friend Charlie.

Sam Downs:  Technician

Growing up on the family farm led the way to her love of animals.  Sam has been in the veterinary field since 2000.  She enjoys spending time at home with her family and tinkering around the farm as there is always a fence to mend, a weed to pull, or a dog to pet.   When not working or on the farm, Sam enjoys attending garden club meetings, one to which she is an officer.

Michael Pickering: Assistant

Michael has worked for Bentley Animal Hospital since 2016.  In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing sports, especially basketball, soccer, and football.  He cries "War Eagle", as he has recently been accepted to Auburn University.   Michael has one dog, "Parker" who shares his love of playing ball.

Becky Jones:  Assistant

Becky started her time here at Bentley Animal Hospital in 2012.   A Graduate Student at Auburn University, she looks forward to starting veterinary school soon.  While at Auburn University, Becky volunteers with the Southeastern Raptor Center rehabilitating birds of prey and training the eagles that fly before AU football games (and has had the opportunity to release one!).  Becky enjoys training and hiking with her best canine pals, Lilly and Macintosh.

Linda Boyer:  Kennel Assistant

Linda feels blessed to have a long career working with animals, having done so for over 20 years.  She began working in the kennel at Bentley Animal Hospital in 2003.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Neil, watching wildlife, fishing, camping, and hunting for arrowheads.

Angela Pettie:  Reception

With her husband, Angela moved to the Huntsville area from California in 2016.  She has worked as a receptionist or veterinary assistant since 2006, having taken some time off in the middle to be a mom to her four children.  She loves to take family day-trips, riding on the Jet Ski,  and searching for inspiration on Pinterest.   In her spare time, Angela is also a photographer.  Football is big in her family, and "GO NINERS!" is their battle cry.   She loves spending time with her family both two-legged AND four-legged:  she has three cats, Moana, Maui, and Marley and three ducks:  Howard, Abigail, and Amelia.

India Hill:  Reception

India originally began working for Bentley Animal Hospital in 2008.  She took a few years off to raise her son Brooks and returned in 2016.   She lives in Monrovia with her husband Rod, son, 5 dogs (Dewey, Tillie, Lucky, Charlie and Willie) and two cats (Nugget and Mandy).  India enjoys spending time soaking up the sun in her garden and spending time with her family.

Megan Lewter:  Reception

In 2007, Megan began working at the Greater Huntsville Humane Society and became a part of the Bentley Animal Hospital team in 2016.  She and her husband started their family with a German Sheppard named Ruger, and welcomed their adorable son in 2012.  They have recently welcomed Greg the Gecko to the family.   Megan enjoys family time, particularly blowing bubbles and making memories with her son.   Hummingbirds are her spirit animal.
