She has worked in a variety of practices throughout the United States and this has served to give her a diverse and extensive knowledge of veterinary medicine. She enjoys both small animal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Matthews lives in Fayetteville, Tennessee with her husband and son. They have a mini-ranch consisting of horses, donkeys, chickens, cats, and dogs. She has a parrot named Merlyn that has been with her since hatching in 1990!
In her spare time, Dr. Matthews enjoys traveling, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and animals. She loves her job, stating “Veterinary medicine is such an exciting and forever evolving profession. I cannot imagine doing anything else.”

Annette, her husband, and 2 daughters moved to Huntsville in 2007 from Long Island, NY. She spent 13 years managing a veterinary hospital in New York, and began her time here at Bentley in 2009 as a receptionist until 2016. In November 2020 she returned “home” as the hospital manager. When she is not here loving on our patients, she spends time with her oldest daughter who is in the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, watching her youngest play soccer, adjusting to an empty nest with her hubby, or snuggling on the couch with her 6 dogs. She has 3 Japanese Chin (Emi, Guinness, Groot), 1 Pomeranian (Hudson), 1 CavaChin (Ciara), and a King Charles Cavalier (Cider).
Angela Hall
Receptionist
Angela moved to the Huntsville area from California in 2016. She has worked for veterinary offices since 2006, having taken some time off in the middle to be a mom to her children. She loves to take family day-trips, and searching for inspiration on Pinterest. Football is big in her family, and “GO NINERS!” is their battle cry. She loves spending time with her family both two-legged AND four-legged: she has four 2-legged pets (ummm, children) and six 4-legged pets (2 cats named Moana and Maui, and 4 dogs named Bubba, Nala, Daisy, and Slinky).

Lindsay Wenzel
Veterinary Assistant
Lindsay comes to us from the Pacific Northwest: California and Washington states. She has a veterinary assistant certification and has been working in the field since 2016. Lindsay has a propensity for long-haired pets: her dog Freya is a Long-haired Dachshund and her cat Rue Razzles is also long-haired. Her short-haired cat Todd wishes he had long hair. Lindsay’s favorite activity is sleeping, but when awake she enjoys spending time with her family and baby daughter Ellie (Lindsay is a new mom!), and watching horror movies.
Madison Kluesner
Kennel Attendant / Receptionist
Madison has grown up an avid lover of animals—how could she not when Annette is her mother? In her increasingly narrowing spare time, she enjoys playing soccer and helps out at Bentley Animal Hospital as a receptionist and kennel attendant. Big changes are ahead for Madison: she and her husband (they’re newlyweds!) have recently bought a home together and she will soon graduate as a Registered Nurse. She has 3 dogs: Finch (Pomeranian), Sperry (Japanese Chin), and Nellie (dachshund).
Mary McLemore:
Veterinary Assistant / Kennel Attendant
Mary comes to Bentley having worked in dog rescue. She has two rescue dogs herself: Miles, a German Shepherd and Maggie, a Pitbull. Mary enjoys taking the dogs for hikes and on adventures. When not “adventuring”, she enjoys home time with her family and friends and cuddles from Maggie and Miles. Mary’s ultimate goal would be to visit each National Park throughout the United States. Will Miles and Maggie visit the parks too? Stay tuned….
Nicole Yeager
Kennel Attendant
Nicole is new to the veterinary profession but has grown up surrounded by dogs, horses, and chickens making Bentley Animal Hospital a comfortable fit. When not working or on the farm, Sam enjoys attending garden club meetings, one to which she is an officer.
